Mr. Rory Karl serves as the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Development for Dover Public Schools.

His distinguished career in educational leadership has significantly contributed to the district's mission of achieving academic excellence. Through his strategic vision and dedication, Mr. Karl has been instrumental in refining curriculum development, enhancing instructional strategies, and empowering staff to reach their highest potential.

Mr. Karl’s leadership is characterized by a steadfast commitment to fostering professional growth and accountability among staff. He has championed the use of advanced assessment tools such as iReady and Linkit, promoting data-driven instruction that aligns with the district's objectives. His strategic implementation of digital learning platforms like Clever has ensured universal access to technology, enriching the educational experience for all students.

His tenure has seen a focus on collaborative budget planning and the delivery of targeted professional development, particularly in data analysis and instructional improvement. By conducting thorough data reviews, Mr. Karl ensures that the curriculum remains compliant and optimized for student success. Mr. Karl holds a Master’s degree in Elementary Education with specializations in Educational Leadership and Administration, as well as Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in History from Susquehanna University.

With over a decade of experience in elementary education, including his previous role as a teacher at Fredon Township School, Mr. Karl is a seasoned educator dedicated to creating a collaborative environment that supports the success of every student. His innovative leadership and unwavering commitment to educational excellence continue to drive the district forward.
